Tom Perron wears many hats at Mombo;  Owner, General Manager, Chef & Host etc…

Tom oversees the daily culinary operations with our new Executive Chef, Jeremy Hersey, in crafting the American “Twisted” Mombo cuisine and providing an outstanding dining experience.

As General Manager, he supervises all aspects of the day to day service and staffing needs keeping the family together and inline.

As your Host, Tom is on hand to make sure that you have a great Mombo experience. During the last Presidential campaign, The Portsmouth Herald wrote that “The restaurant serving “New American cuisine” proved to be a perfectly located lunch stop for President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Biden’s wife, Dr. Jill Biden, who held a campaign event at the neighboring Strawbery Banke Museum Friday.”

Tom is quoted as saying “It’s not every day you get to host the President, the Vice President and their wives,” he said. “I think it worked out for everybody, including Strawbery Banke. Some national exposure is always good for Portsmouth.”

His background includes running Diamond Award winning hotel kitchens such as The Four Seasons in Hawaii and The Tides in Miami Beach. He’s also a Certifed Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation and was nominated Chef of the Year 2006 for the Miami Chapter.
